Growing and Maintenance Tips

Salvias are very drought tolerant, but they bloom better if they receive summer irrigation. They like full sun or light shade the best. If you keep cutting the flowers back after it blooms to lateral buds it will keep reblooming. It requires good drainage so that the roots do not rot in the winter.
